He was able to keep me watching Castaway, which was an accomplishment in and of itself.

I was going to say the same exact thing earlier...but didn't.

It's not so much that I hate it, just that it puts me to sleep. Only time I have where I could really read and soak it up, well I'm usually tired then. Usually movies for this guy.

You can't even stay awake during a final, should we be surprised you can't read a book!? :p

IM JK DONT SAY ANYTHING MEAN.

Castaway was terrible, it was like reading a book.

I know you hate reading, but if you did and you picked up the book Robinson Crusoe, it is EXACTLY like that. Torture. Castaway wasn't quite so bad, but same setup. Stranded on an island rubbing sticks together to stay warm.

Castaway is an amazing movie for a lot of reasons, one of which is they shot the early part of the film and then shut down production for several months so Tom could lose all that weight.

They finished the film shooting all his scenes showing the weight loss. Something else I didn't notice until I heard the DVD commentary is that there is no score used until he finally escapes the island.

Yes HT, all movies, all the time.

Haha...ouch sportsfan41

Yea right, did you see the bold,.... She can dish it out, but she can't take it.:fight:

My favorites:

Cruise

1. The Last Samurai

2. Collateral

3. Cocktail

4. The Color of Money

Hanks

1. Road to Perdition

2. The Green Mile

3. Philadelphia

4. Forest Gump

Cast Away is a great movie...

Watched the one multiple times, way lots of times. It's just very intense.

But also agree with MJ, that it's not his best performance, though it is one of my favoirtes.

I don't think it's his best performance either, just my personal favorite.
