Is Covington Catholic that down, that most are predicting a 15-20 point defeat? Im not so sure Lex Cath can beat anybody on their schedule by 20 much less a school that traditionally has a good basketball team. Sure Sanford and Boytkins are good players but you have to put five on the floor and those other three players are very inexperienced.

Covcath isn't that down, they just have a lot of inexperience and question marks. They really only return two contributors from last year in Shover and Maile and the other players were all JV kids. Their JV team was pretty good though (only team to beat Holmes who finished 20-1) and made it to the JV championship.

 

I think it will just take them a little bit to actually hit their stride and get things rolling.

I just hope Mitch's health is good enough to play his usual minutes and at the high level he is capable.

If Shover is sick, then I think you HAVE to start him if he's going to play. Let him get out there and get into the game early. If things aren't going so well, then you can pull him; however, I think it's important for him to get in there early and get in the flow.

 

There's nothing worse than being ill (or injured) and wondering when (or if) you're going to get in. Let him warm up and know that he's going to start, and see how it plays out.

Cov. Cath. may be down, but they are still Covington Catholic. I'll take Lexington Catholic by 12. Maile is a beast and will keep them in the game. If he gets in foul trouble this year, that will spell disaster for the Colonels.

Agreed. Mitch will start tonight. He has been sick probably for the last month or so though.
