Jim, just a suggestion but see if your provider offers you an opportunity, to get a "refurb" phone and try it out. Will save a lot of expense, while you evaluate.

Or you can get it unlocked and use it with another carrier and only pay for their data plan, that is alot cheaper than ATT's iphone data package.

 

Mine personally is with Cincinnati Bell and only costs me 15/month for unlimited data and text, with no contract and much much cheaper monthly rate plans than whats offered by ATT iPhone plans.

Only $90 more ($290) than the price at ATT with a 2 year contract. My bill total a month is $40, instead of the $90/month it would cost me at ATT with data and text, so that $90 will be made up quick. Also no contract which I love.

Some guy off craigslist. It looks like the prices are jacked up a little more right now because of christmas season I guess.

I waiting till after anyway so it might workout. How did you know it was legit and unlocked? He could have been lying.

I made sure I put my sim card in it and checked the condition of the phone before I even pulled my money out. I did think about that too before I went. I also had him email me pictures before I told him I would take it.

There is a new phone coming over from China Called "anycool", I believe.

Check this out on ebay. Dual Sim card capability. TV function until Feb. 09. All kinds of features. I do not know much more except a guy on Goss ave. is selling them. S&P Phone repair. I am thinking about trying this deal out.

I've got an expiring discount on a new phone, which I need. My old phone, which I like, has been having problems, and will die soon. I'm with AT&T.

 

I'm thinking about one of the combo phone/PDAs, most notably the Samsung Blackjack or the Blackberry. Any quickie recommendations?

 

I have a Blackberry and love it. My daughter has a Blackjack 2 and loves it. Both are pretty good phones IMHO.

I'm confused how your monthly bill is only $40. You bought a unlocked iphone and use it with verizon. Don't you still have to have a voice and data plan through verizon?
