Has Breathitt been vunerable on run defense this year? Holding Estill would seem to suggest they are pretty stout in that area.

 

In the first matchup with Estill, the Engineers held the ball for approximately 38 minutes...

 

Johnson Central also ran well and controlled a lot of clock. I figured JC is probably the closest thing we've played to Belfry all year...they beat got a 2 TD lead on us, we came back and had the game within one possession before they mounted a nice scoring drive and then intercepted a pass to seal the game in the fourth. They beat us 26-14.

 

The Bobcat defense is capable of playing well, as they have done so at times...but they've also been vulnerable at times to power rushing attacks. We're not a real big team up front on defense and that hurts us at times.

Belfry by 14

Belfry by as many as they want. Breathitt QB plays scared to death, Fugate is a horse but he will not be able to pack Haddix in this one.

I like Belfry but, I hope there not looking past Breathitt and forward to Lou. Central rematch.

This is a bold statement, but:

 

If Breathitt cannot establish a passing game then Belfry will hold Fugate in check (under 100 yards) and win this one going away by 3+ TD's.....

 

 

With that being said though, if Breathitt can establish a passing game attacking multiple lvels of Belfry's defense then this could be a very, very interesting game.

 

Belfry will be without a doubt the best defensive team Breathitt has faced. Breathitt has the potential to be the best offensive team Belfry has faced,

Fugate will take Breathitt to the carpet if they all will step up play like they should. Let's go Channing.

Fugate will not be able to do it on his own... this isn't Estill County's run defense he is facing Friday. It will take everyone on breathitt's team playing at a high level to beat Belfry.

Fugate is legitimately the best football player in 3A. I definitely think that Fugate will dominate Belfry even as good as Belfry is. This is one game the Pirates will not be able to tackle well,as Fugate will move Breathitt on to the carpet.:thumb:

Just might be Breathitt's turn in this match up.
