Owensboro upsets the Purples!

This isn't an upset. In fact, it's totally expected in this corner of the world. Bowling Green has been pretty banged up.

Nice win Ownesboro and God bless coach Wallace. Great three year run for BG.

I would have defined it as a game that could go either way. I picked Bowling Green, but it really shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that Owensboro could win that game. BGP's own rankings installed Owensboro as the favorite.

 

Bowling Green has not been the same team this year, which isn't to say they weren't good, just not what they've been. Some late injuries only further hampered them. The Henderson County loss was the first sign. But they still lost to a very good team in Owensboro, and BG should be back soon.

"Expected" may be a little too strong, but it certainly isn't a surprise. I thought Owensboro would win and, as Dragon Fire pointed out, the BGP rankings had them above Bowling Green.
