Green County 28 Danville 21

Featured Replies

I guess in hindsight, I'm glad I spent the night with Mr. Lite and stayed at home.

On paper this looked to be one of the better Round 2 matchups.

Green County tried to give the game away during the fourth quarter with horrible play calling. They probably left 1:30-2:00 on the clock by throwing the ball late. They had run the ball well all night. Oh well, they held on. And they have a really good team.

I was very impressed with #32, Newby, for Green County. He played linebacker and made every tackle. Just a really solid player.

Danville doesn't have the speed they used to have. They have good size and could run the ball pretty well, but they seemed to be too pass-happy. Defensively they struggled to stop the run right up the middle. All of those are things the Ads usually do well and just didn't seem to tonight.

First of all Congratulations to Green Co.!!!And Good luck the rest of the way...

This was a very disappointing loss but it had to come...I don't know if this Admiral team played a complete game all season long...Once again the defense allowed another long pass play with no one within 20 yards of the receiver.

Good luck to all of the seniors I will miss you...:thumb:

I got your call late today. I was travelling in the middle of nowhere and didn't have cell service when you called. I guess I'm glad I didn't go now!

Tough loss for our Ads.

I rarely go to Danville games (usually the bowl game and maybe a playoff game), but I was disappointed in their crowd tonight. I know it's cold and that's a big stadium, but I swear it looked like Green County had a bigger crowd. Is this the norm at Danville?

Another early exit for the Ads. 2003 seems so long ago. Congrats to GC. Next week's game should be a dandy.

I can just now feel my feet...It was cold...

Tough loss yes but you can't win against good teams if you constantly keep shooting yourself in the foot...:irked:

That turnover at the end of the game was like cutting the lifeline. That's the story of Danville football this season - making the key mistake at the worst possible time..

I think it's sad myself...It kills me when the Ads play Boyle at Danville and all of the So called Admiral fans pack the place in...You don't see them at another game until the State Finals...

And the Green County folks were really loud.

AA, wish I had talked to you before the game. I like meeting BGPers; it would have been nice to meet you. I was halfway up the home bleachers, right on the 50-yard line.
