I was more impressed with how Raceland overcame adversity in the first Quarter then anything. This is the first big thing that has happened to this team, I was not sure how they would react. After Boyles went out, it took Raceland a little while to find the groove, but, they did find it. That could have been a good time for the team to fall a part, but it didn't, some seniors stepped up and let the team. Big deal for this team.

 

Farley did a great job, I have to say, I was a little worried at first, but he came in and did a great job.

 

John-Scott Carver took a lot of the load on his back and carried this team for a while, until everyone settled down. Unofficially 212 yards on 14 carries for 4 touchdowns and 1 fumble recovery. Great performance.

 

The OL/DL, did a great job. The DL took the game over at one point and came up big. I don't know how many tackles for a lose Baldridge, Logan, Chin, and Grant had, but there were several. Big line play. These linemen can take this team far. They are the gel that holds the offense and defense together. Great job gentlemen.

I still can't feel my toes. But it was worth it.

 

WAY TO GO RAMS!

 

Tyler Farley deserves all the props he gets. That kid came in and looked poised and made a couple of big throws on 3rd down. But DC Express was just too tough for Fairview. Our line did a great job.

 

Celebration is over. Time to eat some turkey and get ready for another heavyweight fight with LCA.

 

Prayers to Tyler Boyles and his family. I hope he is okay.

Hats off to Fairview, the players and the coaching staff. They did a great job of preparing. The players played hard the entire game and came ready to play. The Fairview coaching staff is very good and I expect them to be in the hunt again next season. Congratulation to Fairview on a great season and their first ever road playoff win.

However Boyles presence was missed in the secondary. And wow Robbie Logan! I watched him litterally shove a fairview player 30 yards down field. And then finally shoved him down for the John Scott TD! Way to go RAMS!!!!

He made the reads and the 3rd and 8 he converted in the 3rd quarter knowing he was about to get leveled is a play a Senior makes, not a Sophomore, but he stepped into the throw and got the first down.

It is good to see a sophomore come in and do well at QB...but I think the real key to continued success will be developing replacements for the tremendous line Raceland has this year.

Wish I could have been at this one but I was on the phone texting and calling to get info every 5 minutes! Congrats to the Rams for win #12! I hate to hear about the injury to Tyler Boyles, hopefully he wil be back for next weeks game. From what I heard Farley stepped in and performed well. That is a huge task for a backup qb that has never started a varsity game. He has a ton of talent and is going to be another great Raceland QB if he continues to work hard. Im very proud of the rest of the team also for sticking this one out w/o their starting qb and pulling together as a team. That shows just how well coached and talented these players are. Also congrats to John Scott Carver on one heckuva game! The kid is hands down one of the best all around football players I have seen in along time. Enjoy this one Rams, you've earned it!

I agree! And after talking with a friend tonight he made a very good point. You have to remember Farley has taken just as much or more snaps at the varsity level this year and Boyles!:ylsuper:

BTW from the looks of the game, seems like the Rams had another great week of preparation and scouting from the Ram coaching staff. Good job guys! Coach Hoof, TJ, coach Fannin, and all the rest of the staff, great job!
