Ballard v Trinity

Featured Replies

I wasn't trying to compare Manual and Trinity. I'm simply saying it'll be closer than expected. It wouldn't be shocking if this were the score, especially due to Trinity's well known ability to kick the tires and light the fires during playoffs. But Ballard DID play against much better against Manual the second time around, so I expect them to do the same here.

I saw Manual play Central and then saw them play St. X. The Crimsons were digressing as a unit. Ballard versus Trinity resulted in a 38-7 Rocks victory the first time around. Ballard is down one running back this time around. Trinity's O-line is now healthy.

Recent history shows Trinity usually widens the margin of victory in the playoff game. 2006 was a wash. Trinity is going for thier 40th victory over the Bruins.

2007 48-23, then 63-14; 2006 48-7, 36-6; 2003 22-20, 36-12

2001 44-12, 56-14; 1998 19-12, 24-0.

Great Job ---good analysis.

GO ROCKS...........blow them out.............want/need those Turkey Day donuts and Hot Choc:fire:

Let's hope Rocks by a bunch.............

St. X is a different team in post season against T than regular season. Think about it, you're a smart guy.;)

Don't put the cart before the horse, let's get there first.

Come on, Ballard then Eastern, not to get to 12/5. If I was a betting person, I would purchase a ticket to sit on the 4 row bleachers at St. X.

Not to get ahead of ourselves..............BUT IT YOU DO.............you will be awfully lonely and probably cold--understand PJCS has been reserved "just in case."

That's good to know. Thanks..

All of those folks predicting a big Trinity win could be right, but there is another side. Ballard shut out Henderson County last week. You don't pitch a shutout at this time of year without a pretty good defense. With the returning players Trinity is getting better every week, but they are still a couple of weeks away from the kind of offensive prowess we are used to seeing this time of year. I hope it is a big win, but I look for a tough game.

You are absolutely correct. Do not know how to "read" B's win last week. If I am correct - Henderson County beat BGHS the week before - no easy feat. Hard to imagine that effort compared to some of B's games I have seen this year - no disrespect meant.

You could be right (about the close game) -but let's hope not.

GO ROCKS........

You all are making it sound like this will be a close game. First playoff games were lopsided to say the least. Ballard will wear down due to numbers and will self destruct. Overdale will make the right calls and Beans defense will be Beans defense. Same book, different chapter next week.

While I am pretty sure T will win there is always a chance...slim chance but a chance of a loss.

Note to the rest of BGP and others: Most Rock fans are not like this poster.

It's one of those cold nights when you should just be happy for a W and move on.

Thanks for that clarification TD! :thumb:

He was reminding me somewhat of another poster who used a similar name last year (Rocks 4 Ever) and received "das boot".

Trinity needs for Ballard to play the best game they have all year. We need to be pushed to improve, it is games such as these that make teams better. We do not learn anything about ourselves by playing teams we have already beaten by the halftime. Go Rocks, push to improve.
