I think the big key will be the playoff experience that LCA has, they know how to win this time of year. They are expecting to win, while Williamsburg is hoping to win. Williamsburg will need to do a good job talking Haydan. If they hit him high like Lynn Camp did last week, then forget about it. If the weather is pretty good this has the makings of a high scoring game. I like LCA in the end.

Williamsburg should take the attitude of no pressure in this one. No one really expects them to win, so they should treat this game as we have nothing to lose. Hayden is an excellent back, but Williamsburg has had some success this season against some very good backs. You cant compare last years game to this year either...both teams are different than a year ago. Comparing scores is silly as well, each week is different, each game is its own entity. I wont predict a score but I will predict an exciting game, and I think the score is a lot closer than most on here.

Looking at Williamsburg's schedule for THIS year, and they have not faced a team or a back even close to what LCA has.

There have been some good backs on their schedule, but none compare to the complete package that is Hayden.

I also think it will be close, early on, but there will be way too much athleticism for Williamsburg to hang around for much more than a half.

They are both diferent, but they have both improved. IF 'Burg had progressed and LCA had remained stagnant or dropped off, I would agree, volsfan, on comparing the games. Many of the same faces will see each other again, but LCA is an improved and much matured team from last year, also.

Are you going up to the game friday, LC99?

DaddyCat is very wise, LCA is a great team, great backs, great QB, great line, great receivers, and we have not even to start talking about the defense yet. They held Hazard who is a great team and the Lynn Camp Wildcats to under 20 points? People need to look at that defense, not just that back, who very well could be the best in the state.

With all of that said, I love the 'burg always have and always will. I look forward to seeing what these young men will bring Friday night.I believe that they will not back down at any point, they will continue to hit and play hard through bad breaks and good breaks, not letting down, putting together 4 quarters and then some if need be, they can do this, I know that they can.

Jackets if you read this; believing is the first step, the second step is to make it happen. No matter what, know that I and many others are proud of you and we believe. Good luck!

If they can play hard for 4 qtrs., they (WHS) have a shot, but with everything they (LCA) throw at you, it is hard to go as hard as you have to to be successful. They have a lot of players, also, on the team. Seemed to have a group as big as some of the 4A and 5A's around here.

Fundamental, we kind of bought into that "soft D" talk about LCA, also, but it is an illusion. They do have a very strong D. The point that sticks out most to me, is, based on what I have seen, is that Rollins is the best defender W'burg has and LCA has about 5 or 6 kids that play D (and have the size) as well as Rollins. How do you handle that with what Lynn Camp and Williamsburg can put on the field?

I never said they were soft, I was trying to point out they have a great defense. That is all.

Though I believe that LCA is a clear favorite I believe that Williamsburg will make a good showing and has the ability to win. Williamsburg is much more physical than they are given credit for. This isn't the Greer team that finesses you. They are very good up front with Rollins, Phillips, Collins and Hopkins. Their offense is almost 50/50 this year. Hayden is a great back but I am much more concerned with their ability to throw the ball. If the Jackets struggle against the pass and LCA keeps the Jackets from being able to key on Hayden this game will become a nightmare for Williamsburg much like it was for Lynn Camp. Contrary to normal football I believe LCA will need to establish their passing game first. Williamsburg must find a go to guy in the redzone other than Brock. Someone else must make some big catches for the Jackets. They will need Petit to step up and make some plays.

Fundamental, I said that we were told they were somewhat soft on the run, great on the pass D. They are good on both!!!! You did not say it.

Sorry if I was misunderstood!

(It's not like we could have done anything if they had been soft on the run this year, anyway!)

noles, they have a very good and very effective passing game. They use Hayden both ways (pass/run) and they establish the run by killing you physically. (There were times I thought the best way to handle the running attack was to curl up in the fetal position when LCA went into set.) You can slow them, you can tackle them, but you pay for every takedown physically. It takes it's toll.

Williamsburg is more physical than they have been, but LCA still has a big edge on them IMO. They have 3 GREAT receivers, 3 good receivers and Hayden. When they go into their multiple sets, no way for LC or Williamsburg to contain, again, IMO.

Rollins is the best, most physical kid W'burg has on the line and on D, but LCA has at least 4 Rollins type players facing them.

I have not seen Williamsburg. But if you play Physical football with LCA and dont buy into this hype. You can beat them. Put pressure on them and they will make mistakes.

HT&C, I think that Hazard played some physical football and know LC did, but they never laid down for either group.

We will have to see if Williamsburg can do anything with them. Good luck to Williamsburg. :thumb:

HC&T, Williamsburg may have been just a little more physical than LC this year, but not by much if they were.
