I am not arguing with you. To me the bottom line is -6 is 4-6. I understand one team might have played and got beat by better teams then another did but when all is said and done the record book says 4-6. Nowhere in the standings does it say team x at 4-6 was better then team y who was also 4-6.

You don't play games in the record book. A 4-6 team that played better teams and lost to them will be a better team on the field is what I'm saying. Now if you have two teams play the exact same schedule and they both end up 4-6 then yes it is equal. I'm not arguing either just trying to get my point across.

I was agreeing woth you on the point one 4-6 team could be better than another 4-6 team but they both are 4-6.

A 4-6 team can also be better than a 8-2 team. Either one could be 4-0 or 2-2 within the same district. I like Indiana's playoff system, in which every team is in the playoffs. The end result is the same - the best teams in each class win championships. Kentucky just has one or two classes too many.

I will stick to my thoughts on this no system that allows so many teams with losing records to make something called the playoff is a good one.

I was almost positive that someone in a previous thread said that everyone got in and there was some type of ranking system. I guess I was misinformed.

Thanks for the info. I would have to have a CPA and a slide rule to figure out the system described. I really cant believe it can be as complicated as the examples made out. I respect Ohio football now even more for their Math skills!! LOL!

I am almost sure that Indiana lets everyone in. I believe they play a nine week regualr season.

I think two teams per district makes the most sense, but I can live with one week of blowouts if the teams getting blown out can.
