November 16, 200817 yr Author Nog is darn near impossible to KO...so I think he can submit Lesnar and get a win.
November 16, 200817 yr He has dropped everyone of his opens with a punch but his standup is questionable? I dont get that at all. Everyone said Randy would own Lesnar too but we saw how that went. Mir and Nog do have the styles needed to defeat Lesnar I'll give you that but I think he will beat either one of them. Then again if Nog wins or Mir wins again I cant say Im shocked by that either. All the guys he has fought are not exactly top notch strikers..............
November 16, 200817 yr If Nog and Lesnar fight, as bad as I hate to admit it Nog wins. If Lesnar and Mir fights again, Lesnar with a brutal knockout. I can't wait for Nog and Mir.
November 16, 200817 yr And its all over. Dont say I didnt try to tell you boys who would win. That is one big bad you know what. Brock Lesnar defeats Randy Couture by TKO in the second round. We have a new UFC heavyweight champion. I kinda thought he would win.
November 16, 200817 yr There is NO ONE Lesnar cant knock out! Not saying he will...but with his size, speed, and strength if he lands flush its goodnight. Remember that he broke Crazy Horse's orbital socket with the first blow. As Brock continues to improve his ground defense he is gonna become unbeatable. With that being said...I think Big Nog will sub him in the second round.
November 16, 200817 yr Big Nog, Mir, and any other HW BJJ guy still owns him, but it will take longer than Mir did the first time...........and his stand-up is still wayyyy questionable. Honestly I was impressed but not shocked. Mir hardly owned him. Lesnar got overconfident and allowed Mir to land an ankle lock, but beforet hat Lesnar was destroying Mir.
November 16, 200817 yr Mir hardly owned him. Lesnar got overconfident and allowed Mir to land an ankle lock, but beforet hat Lesnar was destroying Mir. If they fight again Lesnar will finish the job. No doubt in my mind.
November 16, 200817 yr Dissappointed with the outcome, but how much longer was Couture going to continue at 45? If it could ever happen, I would find a Lesnar/Fedor matchup more intriguing than a Couture/Fedor mathcup. Good to Dustin Hazelett win.
November 17, 200817 yr My thoughts: I think that Lesnar has got a LOT to learn; a LOT. He has two options: 1. He can get by, the way he has, on his brute strength and natural athletic ability. 2. He can join a wrestling-based camp (Xtreme Couture & Team Quest come to mind) and learn an awful lot. I think that Nog will beat Mir (at least I hope so, 'cause I really don't like Mir), and that Nog will be Lesnar's toughest fight to date, but that Lesnar may take it based upon #1 above. I also think that there's a few fighters out there now, in the UFC that can match Lesnar's size and have more experience. - Shane Carwin; Cheik Kongo; and Cain Velasquez come to mind. I also believe that Gabriel Gonzaga can beat Lesnar right now. Just my two lincolns. Later.
November 17, 200817 yr I really believe that Nog can beat Lesnar, but i'm very skeptical about Velasquez and Gonzaga. It's hard to compare common foes in the UFC but Couture destroyed Gonzaga and Lesnar destroyed Couture. I realize that in the UFC more than any other sporting venue, anyone can throw a wininng punch, but I truly believe Lesnar is the 2nd best heavyweight in the UFC.

November 17, 200817 yr Brock was impressive. His size, strength and athleticism combined with a strong wrestling pedigree makes him a difficult matchup for anybody. I picked Couture to win, but the result didn't surprise me. Lesnar is freakish and we've never seen anyone quite like him in MMA. He has a good chance to win any fight he's in. Randy landed a couple of pretty good shots in that fight and they didn't seem to faze Lesnar. I'd say guys like Mir and Nogueira would be the most likely to beat him simply because of their BJJ and Brock's inexperience there. I'd be curious to see a guy like Gabe Gonzaga fight Brock as well. But, he's a tough matchup for anybody because fighting him is so unlike anyone else these guys have ever faced. If Lesnar continues to improve, he's going to be a real nightmare in a couple of years. A Lesnar/Fedor matchup could be an interesting one, although it's likely will never see it.
November 17, 200817 yr I honestly believe that Fedor is lightyears ahead of virtually every other heavyweight in MMA
November 17, 200817 yr I honestly believe that Fedor is lightyears ahead of virtually every other heavyweight in MMA I think most people believe that. However, it would still be interesting to see him fight a guy with Brock's size, strength and athleticism. I'd be surprised to see anyone on the current HW radar beat Fedor, but there are still some potential matchups I'd like to see.
