Joe Bob Greenslate was the man last night. He played the whole second half with a leg injury, but toughed it out. You cant ask for a better performance from a senior in his last game. Over 2O tackles is amazing, against any team, but to do it in the playoffs against a team of Rockcastles talent was truley one of the best games I have ever seen by a linebacker.

 

Yep, he played pretty well. I couldn't remember his last name...but the first is pretty easy to remember. He was a tough cat to clean up after.

He is giving notice Monday morning is what he told the players in the locker room after the game not sure if he was fired or just quit don't know where he is going or who will be taking his place yet.

Coach Sammons in my mind would be the last person to "quit". If you want the truth he probably got tired of all the negativity that surrounds greenup county football, the fans, parents and administration seems like it ran him off. I have the upmost respect for Coach Sammons and all the efforts he's put into the program.

If what you say about the coach leaving is true, I certainly hope Greenup can get a coach in there to turn the program around.

I believe a program building coach is on the way.

Had a pretty good Coach in TJ Maynard a few years ago. Sounds like some bad things going on. All they need to do is look down the road to Louisa to see what not to do. Run off a coach for one that is not as good.
