A-11 Highlights

Featured Replies

Thanks for the link; I haven't seen anyone run this offense yet.

Although it's apples and oranges, the Miami Dolphins have gone to a "gimmicky" offense on occasion this season, and it seems like a few teams are copying every once in a while; just enough to give opposing defenses something else to game-plan for.

Yes, pretty much so. Trimble team averages 5'6 151 Lb. They have 3 guys over 200 Lb. and one of them is the QB.

I think some are underestimating the Trimble County line. WV shut down the A-11 but could not stop their wishbone and other strong formation. Lead right and left to #5 was very effective. WV struggled against the pass this year but had been very good against the run. Trimble was able to run very well against the WV defense. Of course, Beechwood is a different story but I think Trimble's line is better then what is being talked about.:fire:

I hope it gets banned.

Ditto. Goes against the spirit of the game.

That's some messed up stuff there, like some sort of cornfield spread that mutated. Brings to mind the old saying "messed up like a soup sandwich." (messed not exactly the word used :sssh: )

Of course the clips shown are depicting the great plays of the A11, we don't see the ones where someone doesn't get open quickly enough and quarterback's wheels fall off or the pass gets picked and goes the other way for a TD because everyone is so spread out.

The Riverside Illinois QB in clip (7) had 7 seconds to find an open receiver, looked like backyard football. One very interesting offense, isn't the Piedmont, CA coach the originator?

I am familiar with Riverside-Brookfield. We beat a team 40-13 that beat them 69-21.

Riverside-Brookfield always has athletes but their coach is "Mr. Gimmick". This is the 11 on 11 version of 7 on 7.

That is why it is called top ten plays.
