Well doc, let me tell you, Cville was pretty tough back in the day. He was All State honorable mention in football in the 1973 season, was also voted Russell's most outstanding offensive back in a game one year during the Raceland/Russell game ................ he was in the Russell offensive backfield all night from his linebacker position.

 

Yes, "Cville--cat" was very good football player for the Raceland Ramblers. :thumb:

Raceland will (or better have) their eyes in Clinton Co. rather than this one. Should Raceland lose their game, then the Fairview/C-ville game does not matter .

I think Campbellsville wins. Because it will take Fairview a week to get to Campbellsville. So the Bus lag will cause a probelm for Fairview.

Campbellsville has some wonderful atheletes. McCubbins is a match up problem when used correctly. I'll take C'ville by 8.

I hear you about the buck, maybe we were hunting in the wrong places, I know I was.:lol:

 

District 1-5 is a very competitive district, I think it is the most competitive district in 1A. There are three pretty good teams every year, and Paris and Nicholas County have some decent teams on occasion. Having three teams that are as good as Raceland, LCA, and Fairview is pretty impressive.

The sad thing is that the 1A district is much stronger than the 4A area district with Boyd, Lawrence, Rowan, and Greenup. Heck Paris killed Rowan who was either 2nd or third in the 4A district.
