Keep an eye on Pikeville vs Shelby Valley in the 15th. Pikeville's 6'10 center transferred to SV over the summer. The games between these district rivals will be slobberknockers this year.

Holy Cross vs. Covington Catholic is always a packed house.

I got a p.m asking why I didn't include the Covington City Championship between Holy Cross and Holmes, so I thought I'd go ahead and add that as well.

 

(Even though it has been a little one sided recently and pretty much every year )

I dont see it being much of a game, but you know they will go at it tooth and nail

Ballard and Eastern is the best regular season game in Louisville IMO - always big crowds and lots of "energy"

What about Trinity and J'town? I'd think that would be a pretty heated rivalry in basketball.

I would think J'town would be head and shoulders above Trinity. I believe there are 5 other teams in the 7th region better than Trinity at this point.

 

It will be interesting to see if J'town plays Manual and Ballard (I haven't seen anyone's schedule). With Manual they lost Cosby to J'town and J'town got in trouble because of it. And with Ballard, they had a very good freshman prospect start the school year at Ballard, but is now at J'town. I am not accusing anyone of wrongdoing, but it should make for heated game if they play each other.
