I like the idea of just having open seating. Reserve one side for one team and the other side for the other team, and leave the end zones for the students.

Does this mean the gym won't be cleared in between the 9ths semis? That always had a certain mystique to it.

I'd assume that for the region championships they'd have no choice but to have the upper level open. The 10th and 9th regions alone would draw close to 5,000 fans. Both on the same day and back to back, it's almost a given more than 5k will be there.

After attending the NKU/Louisville game Saturday, I cannot wait to attend the 9th/10th region games. While I doubt it will reach a sell-out, the place will be rocking. I can hear the battling bands in my head now !!

Hopefully the price of gas will stay below $2 a gallon and some fans that have to make a decision to use much needed expendable cash for important things like food, gas, bills, etc. will have that little bit left to make the trip and follow their respective teams. But still, if anyone connected with this years upcomming tournament please tell us what kind of finanacial deal has been made with the BoK Arena and the schools as far as gate reciepts being split, cost of tickets (I think the older thread had guesses instead of a true cost), cost of concessions ( Greater's and Mont.Inn are great, but in these times can a family of 4 or more traveling and hour plus afford this?) for a high school game. I won't even disscuss passes and a hospitality room, leave that for another thread. We the fans that support our teams and our regions need to know up front before the season starts not the middle of February.

If GRC makes it to the finals...they will bring a big crowd.

Parking will probably be bad then because several of the parking lots you can't park in unless you have a parking pass and the only ones around the arena are usually full from students who live on campus. I'd assume there's a parking lot for BOK Arena, but where?

 

I'd hope that the administration of NKU would allow people to park in the lots around the arena so they don't have to walk from either 27 or the side road by Kroger.

I would hope that this issue had been discussed when it was determined that BOK was the site, hopefully someone has done their homework and made well in advanced ideas as to what will accomodate fans. If not this could be a major problem.

I just don't want to play Scott ...finals or anytime during the tourney...that is the one team that scares me........yes I would rather play Mason Co.:sssh:
