Due to my daughter love for Christmas, we had to make a rule many years ago that stated, No Christmas music can be played, nor any Christmas decorations put up, until the day after Thanksgivings. That first year of the new rule, that darn kid at 12:01am Friday morning started putting up decorations and playing Christmas music!

 

Now that she is away at College, I can only guess that her dorm room already has her Christmas decorations up! Can't wait until she gets home and starts putting them up, as our home feels so empty with her gone!

I love Christmas and can't wait until after Thanksgiving so I can start putting up my tree and lights. I refuse to decorate until after Thanksgiving, but I’ve already started buying new decorations.

 

I’m in a house this year for the first time instead of an apartment or duplex. I’m excited about putting lights up outside.

I like my Fall , I do the fall village and things inside ,so I don't do Christmas until after the Thanksgiving holiday.

I think that there should be a Federal law against putting up any type of Christmas decorations out in public view until the day after Thanksgiving. This would include all department stores. We should only have to worry about one holiday at a time.

For my household, it will probably be the middle of December, just in time to take them down.

My girls put up a Christmas tree today in their apartment. They sent me a pic on the cell phone, then called and wanted to know when I was putting up my decorations. I told them I thought I'd wait until they were home for Thanksgiving and we'd do it then. I have one tradition that I think is unique: We begin using Christmas dinnerware on Dec. 1 and use it until Christmas day, when I pack it away. It adds to the anticipation and we all enjoy it. You should try it.

Yep, I have the blue and white Christmas tree with all my Bluebird ornaments. I have the Blue and White lighted garlands in the living room, dining room. And I have my blue outside lights up.:ylsuper:

Actually, I like to call them my playoff decorations.

We put our tree up today. My Mom can't have a tree anymore. She is here for Thanksgiving and Christmas. She always is so happy to see our tree (it's her Christmas tree she says). If it makes my Mom happy, I am happy. My son will be out of town for a week, and he does all of the muscle work.
