November 4, 200817 yr Author He can verify this but I believe he is saying Barr is more aligned to what he believes in but he's not going to be able to convince many to vote for a 3rd party candidate. So why not support the major candidate who is closer to his beliefs. ^I'm not even sure that makes sense. :thumb: Barr is more aligned with my beliefs, but I realize trying to convince people to vote for him is fruitless when the majority of voters will vote for either McCain or Obama. Out of those two, I'd be much more comfortable with McCain in office.

November 4, 200817 yr Then I robbed a vote from Obama and McCain. Seems even to me. I see where you are going, but not if only one of the leading candidates was even an option for a voter. EG. A Barr voter would probably never vote for Obama. A Nader voter, would probably never vote for McCain.

I think that what Sen. McCain's supporters need to hope for is a whole bunch of undecideds making the GOP choice at the 11th hour.

Who knows though.
