November 4, 200817 yr While I'm not going to be voting for Senator McCain tomorrow (well, I guess it's actually today), I feel I've done my part to get him in the White House. I've handed out literature to quite a few houses in the NKY area, urging them to vote for McCain/Palin, Mitch McConnell, and Geoff Davis. I feel I've done everything I can to get the right people in Washington, out of the choices we have. Regardless of what happens tomorrow, I know I can sleep at night. Who else has done any campaigning this election season?

Who else has done any campaigning this election season? My efforts pale in comparison to yours, but I have been quite vocal in the office and around town voicing my support of McCain. Honestly, I can only say I succeeded in getting 2 people to change their minds (that I am certain of) and switch to McCain. One person I persuaded is actually an active member of the Boyle County Democratic party.

November 4, 200817 yr Hopefully, I have persuaded all three of my children to vote for McCain-Palin. My wife has converted at least a half dozen people in the past couple of days by explaining Obama's vote to facilitate infanticide while an Illinois State Senator. I believe that my eldest son also talked at least a couple of coworkers out of voting for Obama-Biden. This will not come as a shock to most of you but my wife is far more diplomatic and persuasive than I am. :lol:

Yeah, the way I see it is a 3rd party candidate obviously has no realistic chance of winning, and since 95% of all those who vote are either going to vote McCain or Obama, I should try to get as many of them to vote McCain as possible.

November 4, 200817 yr If you thought that a protest vote was the way to go, seems to me you would have convinced everyone to "protest vote" with you. I have never heard of someone campaigning to convince people to vote for a candidate that they will not vote for.
November 4, 200817 yr Seems hypocritical to me, to convince others to vote for one person while you are voting for someone else.
