11/2/08 Polls are out; Alabama new #1

Featured Replies

I really would hate to play the Gators, but there is no way they go to #1. They lost at home to Ole Miss and we beat them.

I'd also hate to play Tech/Sooners/Texas/USC/LSU/ but I bet they would hate to play us too.

Defense wins Championships.

I wouldn't mind playing Penn State.

I hate to burst your bubble, but Florida will beat Alabama by 30 points in the SEC Championship game :sssh:

30? Could happen. I don't think Saban will let it though. I wouldn't be surprised if the Gators were a heavy favorite in the game though. They've played well, and outside of the beatdown in Athens, Bama' isn't much for style points......Unless of course you take into account that they are undefeated.

I read your posts and I have seen your picks before.

Bama was at least two years away from being in the top ten. This past recruiting class by the time they are Juniors was our year. You or anyone else can't "bust" anything.

Not once have I said we will win the NC. I think Saturday afternoon will be a very hard test for us. I already mentioned at least 6 teams I'd "hate to play".

I'm just enjoying this week....we are #1.

No way...

On the BCS thread on the 28th Tuesday I predicted Texas Tech vs Gators. So I already "Busted" my own Bubble.

The last time we played the Gators we won by 30. Is that where you got the 30?

Florida is easily the best team in the country. They are a buzzsaw. Alabama will get to experience Florida as an opponent very soon. Enjoy your time at the time. :thumb:

We'll get to see soon enough :thumb:

Texas? I don't think there's any way that Texas makes it now.

If Texas Tech loses to Ok State and OU, Texas will be in the Bix XII championship game..

I still don't think they can leap everyone this late in the season without some significant help.

There must be some dumb AP voters out there to give UL 8 votes and UK none. UK dominated UL and has the same record with a much tougher schedule.

Actually UK is 6-3 and UL if 5-3, if I'm not mistaking.

Of course not, BUT, it is certainly possible, especially with the SEC contninuing to beat themselves up.

If the BCS has proven anything its that ANYTHING is trully possible :thumb:
