If you watched the game, you know that a large portion of those points cant be laid on the defense. UK's defense was constantly put in bad positions by the offense not to mention that they ended up being on the field to much. But, its a team game and points surrendered by the defense, offense, or special teams all go on the board against Ky. It is just really demoralizing for a defense to have given up 4 yards and zero first downs and look up at the board and be down 21-0!

Only 14 of those were setup by blocked punts. The rest are on the Defense. Flordia went on to score 21 more in the second half. 7 of those were on an interception return for a TD. November 12, 200817 yr I guess this should be expected with an SEC-oriented membership, but it strikes me that whenever a UK pulls the upset of an LSU, or Old Miss over Florida; it's because the SEC is so great and so stacked from top to bottom. When Southern Cal, or an elite Big 12 team gets upset in conference, it's because they were overrated. And I like the SEC!

Neither of the teams I mentioned being overrated have been upset this season. However, they have not beaten anybody to make them deserving of their rankings. If UK was in the top 15, i'd say they are overrated because they haven't won any big games. FWIW, I feel the top 3 overall in the Big 12 are better than the top 3 overall in the SEC. But, if its UF in the national championship then I'd put my money on them.
November 12, 200817 yr UK was an onside kick away from very possibly being 8-2 and knocking Bama from the top 10 and out of the BCS picture. Their offense is nowhere near last year but the defense is much better. They have a shot to go anywhere from 3-0 to 0-3 in this stretch. I am thinking it will be either 2-1 or 1-2, .... probably the latter. Either way, they are bowl eligible for the 3rd straight season for the first time in over 50 years. If you lose to Vandy and UT... you won't be getting an invite.
