This has to be the game of the week in our Northeastern Kentucky area. I like Boyd County in a hard fought, well coached game...27-23.

I have not watched the Boyd Co. QB play and they have no stats posted.

 

I have watched the Fairview QB and I can assure you he is a play maker.

He has 1115 yds. on the ground with 16 TD and has thrown for 592yds with 8 TD's.

If you evaluated the players around each QB, then I would say Boyd's QB would get the nod for the best athlete.

This is true. You never know who is going to line up there next. I was referring to Wilson though.

Agree, best ATHLETE, not best quarterback though. Wilson is the best Tailback playing quarterback in that area.

I have to go with Boyd County on this one. No doubt Fairview is far better coached, but they don't have anyone to put on Zac. Boyd is alot bigger, stronger, and faster than the Eagles. It should be a good first half, but I think Boyd takes over after that.

I watched Fairview play on a local school district channel there in Ashland earlier in the year, and have seen Boyd in person twice, not sure they are bigger, stronger and faster than Fairview. Boyd's linemen are out of shape and get worn down as the game goes on.

Like I stated previously, I have not watched the QB from BC so I can nothonestly say what type of player he is. You may be correct but sometimes the best athlete is not the best QB.

I'm sure both do things that compliment their team mates. It should be a good match up.

If Boyd was as well coached as Fairview they would be setting at 7-2 going into this game. Since Boyd is mostly junior and seniors where Fairview is sophmore and freshmen, I think Boyd wins this, this year. If they play again next year, Boyd will likely get throttled.

I am not sure if Boyd can stop the running game of Fairview. Fairview has 3 backs capable of breaking it, whereas, Boyd relies only on Wilson. I know Boyd is bigger and older, but I think Fairview can handle the pressure. It should be a great game. Good luck to both teams and stay injury free for the playoffs.

I agree, Coach Preston does a great job as an assistant, he could and should be a head coach in the state of Kentucky. GCHS lost a good one when they lost him.

Boyd looks like the better team in this one.
