It was along the lines of he'd rather play teams like GC and only win by seven than play another team and win by 35. You learn much more from a close game with a good GC team IMO.

Coaches are just trying to see who can play with who, and how certain players will respond in certain situations. The only thing you can hope for in these games is that no one gets hurt. In UofL's case, they did get an injury to Kyle Kuric (who looked pretty good). Hopefully he will be ok, I read somewhere that the x-rays were negative on his leg. I was impressed with all of UofL's freshman. The upper classman (Smith and Clark mainly) didn't seem to interested or excited. Nothing to worry about. Games like this mean everything to the small team, and nothing to the larger school.
