Best Officials in your region/area?

Featured Replies

I wanted to add another 8th region official - Ryan Morris. We don't have him very much, but he is very good. He is controlled and does not draw attention to himself. We had him last night at a scrimmage and he handled one particularly rough situation very well.

Will be 16th region officials, Bobby Hall calls the Elliot County game

Don't know where some officials were at, or if there was scheduling conflicts or scratches that conflicted, but some refs looked like they moved up a little on the food chain. Congrats to those guys, as I thought for all 4 games officiating was as good as could be expected, this was their first game as well.

Rick Creech

Daryl Smith is the supervisor in the 16th, he and Rick Chasteen (The Godfather of Officiating) have the same philosophies, teaching techniques and have called some big time games thru their careers, get along great with the schools and will take up for the officials unless they blow a rule, Mr. Smith will make a positive impact on the 16th region officials association where they could be the 2nd best association in the state (behind the BBA of course, lol)

In the 16th there really needs to be an age limit,IMO when an official just goes from hash mark to hash mark they need to step down.

I like Bobby Berkhart in the 9th, he's funny to watch, very animated.

Was over at Rupp Arena this past weekend and watched some basketball and was impressed with a young guy from the 9th Region. Found out his name was James Pouncy. Nice official.

Like Bobby Hall for the 16th....AKA Doughnut hahah

Who played at Rupp?

Scott Bottoms is the best offical in the 12th hands down.

13th Wilson and Bates

:laugh::lol:

Are you sure about this. I saw Keith calling a football game at Corbin this year. Thought he might have come back in basketball too. The 13th Region could use some more quality officials. I talked to Keith about a year ago, and he said that he really liked working in the 10th and 11th. I don't think that I would travel that much to officiate, but I guess he loves it that much.

Saw Bo again last night. Sorry, nothing has changed about my opinion of him.

Queen, Lyle, Walter and Chamberlain are all great officials. But you can not discredit Queen he has obviously proven himself. Every big game I attend he is an official, how can you say he is not a top official.:thumb:
