November 21, 200817 yr Haven't been in years my dad and I used to go every weekend, same problem as a lot of other folks development took all the good spots. Dad is long since gone now 7 years this past Vetrans day. Haven't had much motavation since then but I plan to get back into it someday we always had a great time I'll never forget it. Chasing Bugs with the Dad, it doesn't get much better.
November 21, 200817 yr Author A buddy of mine went on a trip to a farm around Paris one day last week, twelve rabbits jumped and ran. Five in the frying pan.. Was a real windy day but the dogs still got a great day of running in, he said only 5 rabbits were killed between the two hunters and that several of the rabbits went straight to the hole when jumped. When the day was over the dogs were asleep almost befoe he got the door on the dog box closed when putting them in for the ride home. (and he wanted to be but he had a 2 hour drive home )

You said it, My daughter which is 19 now never showed much interest in hunting before, but just the other day ask me to take her turkey hunting this spring. I can't wait, since I have never been turkey hunting either just never really made time it'll be a first for both of us. Hopefully she will like hunting as much as I do.

December 8, 200817 yr I love to rabbit hunt and have a dog but we just don't have any where to hunt any more around NKY all of the development that has been going on has took most of the huntin area. We have been lookin for a place to get out my dog is gettin a little rusty it's been a while. Nothin like the sound of beagles runnin a rabbit. I think there is two places in Nothern Grant County (Crittenden). Lloyds Wildlife and Mullins. Anyone hunt either place much?

I have always just hunted deer, rabbit and squirrels. so this should be something to see!! Like I stated before, you are in for the hunt of a lifetime. Turkey hunting is addictive, so it may become a tradition you and your daughter will share for years to come. The smile on her face when she hears her first turkey gobble will be something you'll never forget. I tip my camo hat to you for caring enough to share the experience with your daughter!:thumb:
