In the interest of full truth, I want to remind you that there are Republicans who support abortion policies as well. It might be a platform talking point, but there are definitely Republican pro-choicers.

True. My closest conservative friend is a registered democrat for that purpose. He certainly does not claim to be a democrat though.

 

I hope that LBBC does not take my post negatively. I am just curious as to what it is that keeps him as democrat, when most of his (observed) beliefs seem to differ from democratic ideas.

As someone who is fascinated by numbers; the poll looks like this:

 

10 voters (exactly one in six) say "good".

 

30 voters (exactly half) say "bad."

 

20 voters (exactly one-third) say "average."

 

I love it when numbers line up "just so". And sure as shooting, someone will come along in the next few minutes and screw up all those pretty ratios.

The party's leadership has shifted the DNC sharply to to the left and many long-time dems probably are feeling abandoned by this shift. I'd bet LBBC is one of those dems who is feeling this way. You are correct sir and many people, my parents including, are now seeing that the party they have supported since Jack Kennedy and my grandfather campaigned for before that is NOT the Democrat party of today.
