Snow showers

Featured Replies

It was often amusing listening to weather forecasters where I grew up. Close to the Chesapeake Bay, not all that far from ocean beaches. You could look outside, it was raining and you KNEW it was going to rain all day. However, saying that is bad for business; so "mostly cloudy, chance of precipitation" would be a typical forecast for that kind of day.

I always love when my family goes down to the Chesapeake area. It's an awesome place.

By the end of the day tomorrow look for 3 - 6" Lex and North!:thumb:

Meteorologist has to be the best job ever...you can be wrong with your forecast 90 percent of the time but people still listen to you, and you dont lose your job for being wrong?!

How can you not help listening to them, 20 minutes out of a half hour newscast is weather. 5 minutes of sports. 5 minutes of local and worldwide news, it's ridiculous.

The white stuff isn't supposed to start falling from the sky until 12am here...

Nothing here in Owsley County so far. The latest forecast says 3 to 4 inches of snow Tuesday, mixed with sleet and freezing rain. But then another weather model says some snow, some sleet, and finishing up with heavy rain. I just want to re-live my childhood of home-made sleds and try it again. Come on snow! Give me a little fun.

I want to ride off that hill one more time. :D

I have GOT to see that.
