Al-Qaeda endorses McCain

That's fine but I'll continue to find it laughable every time you accuse me of something based on the grounds that I didn't say something.
Okey-dokey. :thumb:

Nobody is ignoring anything. You seem to gloss over some inconvenient details. The President had the country's ear following 9/11 and he stirred the pot with a lot of cherry-picked, sensationalized intel to build political support for a war that was completely arbitrary, not in response to an imminent threat, and unrelated to 9/11. We now know that there was plenty of conflicting counsel to the President's preferred course of action--an invasion of Iraq and 'regime change'. He chose to rush into an unnecessary war. Period.

Your attempt to divert the subject to the number of murders in the U.S. proves that you've run out of cogent arguments to support the Iraq war.

I didn't say you don’t have standing to discuss the war because you don’t value all life. I just said it's funny how you and others talk about the number of deaths in the war and don't talk about the number of murders in our own country, which is fact. I, again, stand by my statement.

Never said once you didn't value all life. Just asked a simple question which apparently struck a nerve.

Then what is your reason for falsely attributing comments to me, exactly? You're going to need to have your facts together if you're going to be calling people out.

 I find it funny how upset you are over a simple comment. I made nothing up, unless you can show me where you've championed the victims murdered in this country. If you can, I'll apologize. You're going to have to stop distorting my comments to fit your needs.

  1. I'm not upset - I just don't roll over when asked. You just aren't used to people pushing back.
  2. Your argument has been that you are tired of me complaining about deaths in Iraq without sufficiently complaining about deaths in this country. Besides the fact that your argument defies reason to begin with, you can't produce a single comment of me complaining about deaths in Iraq (which are regrettable).

 I think it's the other way around, you're not used to someone standing their ground.

Again, my original statement that, for some strange reason, sent you into this spiraling tirade of yours.

Why is it I never hear you guys talk about the number of people murdered in American cities (like Chicago) every day, every month, every year? They're much greater numbers than that in Iraq.
Why you keep trying to make more out of it than what it was to begin with is totally beyond me.

Again, your argument relies entirely on my complaining about deaths in Iraq, which, of course, you refuse to admit that I haven't. Nevermind the absurdity of the argument to begin with.

We apparently have two entirely different conceptions of reality. It's beyond me.

Regardless of how condescending you want to be, I'm not apologizing for being honest. Again, I asked a simple question that for some reason struck a nerve with you. The only absurdity here is your constant complaining about me voicing my opinion. For some outlandish reason, according to you, I'm not allowed to have one if it involves something that includes a post of yours.
Don't put words in my mouth. To answer your question, I care if terrorists like us because bad things tend to happen when terrorists don't like you...

Obviously you don't understand the terrorist mind set. They HATE us, always have, and always will. It is called JIHAD. They have pronounced JIHAD on all who are not Muslim. You could talk to them until you are blue in the face and they would still try to kill us! We shouldn't cowtail to any terrorist. Worse things happen in that scenario. We are a sovereign (or at least were) nation----we do not bow and scrape to anyone. GEEZ!!!:irked:

You can think whatever you want, just don't wrongly attribute something to me and cry foul when you get asked to back it up.

I'm not the one crying foul, you are. I'm content with my statement.

ANYWAY! I say that Al Qaeda wants McCain/Palin elected because that would put another hothead in the White House who is willing to engage them, at tremendous cost, in areas that are not central to their terrorism operations. Imagine, for the cost of a few box cutters, pilot training sessions, and some under the table funding from the countries that sell us our oil, al Qaeda has been able to wear out the high tech U.S. Army and bleed us to the tune of well over a trillion dollars...

At least not until next Tuesday.:D

Or they're simply trying to get people to vote for Obama so he can pull out and they can have free reign to train and plot. Hmmm, I think my idea makes more sense.

I never said we should cater to any terrorists demands, you're missing my point completely.

Iraq has never been more than a sideshow for Al Qaeda, who did their training and plotting for 9/11 in Afghanistan. Remember Afghanistan? That's where we're about to lose the real War on Terror because your boy Dubya committed most of our troops to the war he invented in Iraq. Obama has always emphasized the importance of Afghanistan over Iraq. Bush always emphasized the importance of Saddam over Al Qaeda.
