Hard fought game worth the trip, everything it was hyped up to be. Green got a break on their last TD, I was on the goal line and he never crossed the plane, but it doesn't matter now. I believe both teams left it all on the field. Both teams have a chance to fair well in the playoffs. With the exception of a couple interceptions early, Harlan impressed me at QB for Monroe. He seemed to run the option really well with some good pitches. I don't see how anyone could be suprised by this score, there was a lot of talk this week but it's settled now.

I was very thrilled with the way the Falcons played tonight. At halftime Monroe had two turnovers and several penalties but still led by 1. The second half was the kinda half that will make a boy a man. It was hard hitting and very intense, the kinda half that epitomizes what theses Falcons are made of.

With all that being said, Green County won the regular season district title last year but were gone by round two of the playoffs. Monroe County will have Bardstown coming to town for the second round this year. Their plate will definitely be full.

 

No doubt Monroe's plate will be full, and I figure the Falcons are plenty hungry anyway... But, it's one game at a time and now it's time to get ready for Allen Co. not Bardstown...

Amen. Allen County and Wayne County back-to-back makes for a tough finish to a great regular season. Monroe County, if anything, will be battle tested for the playoffs.

Very true we should have a very good end of season run with no cush teams. They can hold there own, should be great end of season!!!!

Great Job Falcons!! I knew Monroe was for real. Coach Petett has done an absolute great job this year and should be in consideration for coach of the year in all of 2A.

Hey SEMPERFIFALCON ! I know this may not mean much but I would like to ask your opinion on something. Last season the Dragons defeated the Falcons twice by a combined score of 101-6 (53-6 at Monroe, and 48-0 at Green). Both of these teams return the nucleus of the players off those teams. I know Monroe Co. is much improved from last season but do you think that they are 7 touchdowns improved?

I’m sure this is a question you can answer yourself now…

 

 

 

I believe the Dragons have really been under the fire and know what its like to win a close battle. I can't really say that for Monroe Co.

culture shock? I highly doubt that. I just hope the Falcons are not basing their whole season on this game because I would hate to see them fall apart for a playoff run.

Your concern for the Falcons is very kind, but now that concern should shift to Washington Co. who already gave you a close one… Good luck…
