We would have to travel to Danville shall they still be alive in the third round of the playoffs but with Green County or Washington County coming out on top then one of those teams would have to come to Monroe County. If Monroe County is still in the playoffs in the fourth round Fort Campbell would have to come to Monroe County.

I've thought all along that on even years even districts had home field advantage should the two #1 seeds meet, but, after the game everyone was saying we had home field throughout... Thanks for clearing that up:thumb:

West moves east this year. Monroe could host the first two rounds, have to go to Danville to win the region and then host Fort Campbell in the state semifinals.

KHSAA has the format for the 2008 playoffs on line now. Since the new realignments in the districts, Monroe County is now in Region 2 District 3.

We were a couple years ago in Region 1. Since this is a even year Danville being in District 4 has the home field advantage for the third round.

Yeah I was telling everyone that we would have to go to Danville should we both still be alive, however after the game it was said that we had home field throughout, so I fell for it...

It was actually said home field advantage through out, no big deal though I'll be more than glad to drive to Danville if the opportunity arises...

I've watched Danville play this year and their passing game is awsome. Even though they lost two games this year don't be fooled. One loss was to GRC by three and I believe their hot shot back was healthy, he's a one man team that has missed some this year. The other loss was to a unstoppable Boyle County that is simply running over the big boys this year. Monroe and Green both look good but Danville is probably the team to beat.

To all those who continue to beat a dead horse here...I will gladly feed on my crow...however, you are proving nothing by rubbing my face in it. The game was really close and I will not make excuses. We Lost and were beaten by a Monroe Co. squad that is vastly improved. I am not going to set and sulk and cry because our season here at Green Co. is far from over. These two teams were very even on Friday and could probably play each other 10 times and the games be 5-5. Monroe Co. congrats on your district title but don't boast too long for when the playoffs begin, its one at a time. We may see each other once again therefore, things could be a little different. Just ask last seasons Green Co. and Glasgow teams that defeated Metcalfe Co. and then was bounced dramatically in the playoffs. You are a good team, well coached team, and a team that will be hard to reckon with...however, you have won nothing of any significance yet. GOOD Luck! The Dragons will regroup and be a force as well. I would not want to be the next couple of teams that they face. Good Luck to All and Congratulations! :thumb:

 

Hey friend. I looked for you after the game but didn't get to you before you went into the locker room. I feel both teams played very well and agree that out of 10 its 5-5. I just truly hope we play each other again in the play-offs....just keep them Dragons rolling over teams for our District!!!Maybe we will see you at the little league playoffs next saturday!!

How many starters were out for Green Co.? Was Rogers the only one?

 

Green Co. has lost two senior starters for the remainder of the season: TB Zeth Rogers; torn ACL. (Class 2A states leading scorer and 1200 yard rusher) and OG/DT Mike Gibson; neck injury.

 

The Dragons must revamp and move on. I think the loss to Monroe Co. will relight the fire for this squad.
