That doesn't mean it was right, and I know they schedule JV games for the younger kids to play, but there comes a point when you have let the JV kids go in and mop up the remainder of the minutes.

 

A very good coach of mine once told me that if any of us were to ever coach, to know that there is a point in games when you pull your starters and concede the victory...

Congrats to Dayton on getting their first win on the season!

Dayton's starters came out late in the 3rd quater when the score was 44-7. BB scored two unaswered touchdowns with their first stringers to make it 44-21. Dayton then sent their first string offense in for one play and scored on an 80-yard TD run. After that both teams JV came in a finished the game. The game was a good and clean game. BB head coach was flagged for unsportsman-like for something not really sure. The refs commentted after the game on the coach yelling at the cheerleaders and said they were well out of the way of the team and the coaches. When other teams come to Dayton to cheer they cheer on about 50-yard line where Dayton's cheerleaders used to. Because of the Scott game where the coaches yelled directly at the cheerleaders Dayton completely switched sides in the stands and the cheerleaders moved all the way down passed the 30-yard line where they basically cheer to a hillside. So lets give the cheerleaders a break, and good win for Dayton.:thumb::thumb::flame:

I would rather watch football at Dayton's home field than at many of the other NKY fields. I wish they still had the white wall. Now, no one can throw animals over the fence and get away with it.

(IMO)Dayton has a nice Field... It is small but different than any other. There are many things that could be better but it is not Terrible and it's better than noting.

 

When Lloyd played At Dayton I was surpised to see that the cheerleader were so far away. I went to School at Dayton and we always had the cheerleaders in front.

The band thing was a joke! I'm not sure why someone from the school has not stopped that problem!:fight:

I can tell you that in the 80-90's when my wife was playing in the band at Dayton they did not do anything like that. :thumb:

Sorry to tell you, but most people in the area would rate Dayton's stadium much higher than most. Not the cosmetics of the stadium, but just the feel and atmoshphere of it. I have been to Scott many times, and believe me I am not impressed. Dayton is a 1A school and their stadium holds WAY more people than Scott's does, and Dayton brings more fans than Scott does and they are a 5A school. So lets do the math here... 1A school has bigger stadium and brings more fans, 5A school has smaller stadium and brings less fans???? Hmmmm............. Thats a real stadium and a real football town....

And since you aren't happy with our stadium, donations to 200 Greendevil Lane. I'm sure there are many things people could say about Scott's school, facilities etc., but the majority of these fine posters have far more class than that!

The fence was awesome. It was very intimidation to visiting teams because it would just echo all of the noise coming from the stands. When it was getting old the chipped white paint revealing the rusted metal was also a very nice touch too.

I once saw someone climb through a busted part of that fence and he then ran up into the stands. I guess he didn't have the money to get in.

And since you aren't happy with our stadium, donations to 200 Greendevil Lane. One guy with a Scott HS nickname questions Dayton bringing back their 1's late in the game; and you label the Brossart group "a bunch of cry babies"??

 

BB's struggling to build a football program with a new staff, and a squad full of inexperienced kids; and I've yet to see any of their coaches, kids or fans complain about getting the heck beat out of them week after week as they learn on this forum or any other??

 

Never did I say anything about Brossart being cry babies so stop assuming things.... I have all the respect for Brossart they will be just fine in a few years. They will learn for all their loses a become a good football team. I just find it irresponsible for someone to call what Dayton did "classless".

Just the way it's all closed in is my favorite point about their field, that or the way the stands go all the way up, and so close, I actually liked playing there as an oppenent. The only bad thing I would have to knock is the concession stand line, not a big fan
