I was really disappointed in the way the show ended. I guess I was expecting a lot more.

Very sad that it is all over. It sucks that Ronnie is going to prison because of a mistake made by Vic...if he had never gotten that immunity deal...neither would have anything to worry about.

 

Well to be honest Ronnie was going to be arrested no matter what because of dropping off the money to Vic's wife in the park. But he did get the short end of the stick, he was my favorite character after Lem also.

Dropping that money off wouldn't have hurt Ronnie. They might have been able to arrest him for it, but he could have easily got a good lawyer and said that he had no idea what was in that bag.

BTW I read an interview of Shawn Ryan where he insinuated that he would consider doing a

movie about these characters, but only if he felt it was necessary or good for the story.

 

I hope they decide to do it!

Hollywood is obviously a place that revisits ideas or shows, and maybe that will happen with The Shield. Maybe not. But I'd only do it under circumstances in which the quality could remain the same.

I bet that quality is a good deal about the quality of money involved. THey all have their price.

I miss this show. The finale was good, but it really hurt them if they wanted to set up a movie IMO. What kind of movie would they do? Shane's dead. Lem's dead. Ronnie is in prison and Vic is tied to a desk.

Great series, but it's not coming back. May still be a chance at the long-rumored movie though. I could be wrong, but I don't recall Ryan ever officially nixing the idea and I know that in the past with other series of his he has came out and publicly declared them dead.

I agree that without the team it would be a difficult task to get a movie out of it. But I would watch two hours of Mackey trying to work his way back onto the street, find his family, and possibly even free Ronnie.

I liked his character on both shows. I think he could have been great on SOA if they would have let him stick around.
