I don't think it is all about the system. I think is more about the amount of time you put into teaching your kids how to run the system. Just like any offense it has it's tendencies. Although I personally am not a big fan of it, I do think it is a good offense. IMO the last couple of years Franklin County has ran it as good as anyone I have seen. But I know they spend a ton of time perfecting it.

What about mixing up the offense where you are not looking at the wide spread offense all the time. In other words mix up the wing T, wishbone,and Tony Franklin.

As previously stated, that is what Raceland does. We have ran variations of the Wing T, Wishbone, Power I, and our base offense is the system. I don't think you have to do just one thing.

 

This makes preparing against Raceland very difficult, because we do not run all of these in one game. We stay in the spread and may come out in the wishbone for a while, or we may come out in the power I some, or we come out in the wing T for a while, but opposing coaching staffs have to prepare for all of them and spend time doing so in practice, because they don't know what they are going to see.

Before the system no one ever talked about Greenup on this board they started last year when the system was going well. I rest my case. The bottom line its all Jimmys and Joes. The X's and O's are relative. All those teams who win alot of titles are running the same thing they always have and everyone knows what they are going to do.

I agree with you. The only alterations made are "tweeks" according to the athletes they have that particular year. Greenup's change came with a coaching change the year prior. Which may bring more light to why teams change their offensive schemes - instability in the coaching staffs. All the perennial successful teams have long term coaches and people to turn over the program when they do leave or retire.
