Hey...3 points is probably as close as I'll ever come to picking an exact score!

:thumb: Great pick, I was joking of course. I am usually so far off it is laughable.

I think that it was either dead on or within one point of the Ashland win over Russell around three years ago at Putnam that I had picked and that was about it.

I want to compliment the defense! I love the way they have picked up the intensity. I am starting to see glimpses of the 2006 defense that carried us to the Regional Championship game against NCC.

:thumb: The Orange Crush defense was really doing some hitting last night. Good old fashioned slobber knockers....

That could be said for anyone in any district, Beechwood is more dominant than any team in any district.

IF THAT WERE TRUE THEN YOU WOULDN'T HAVE A CHAMPION OF YOUR DISTRICT. Obviously it couldn't be since Raceland will be the district champion & and is: (1) undefeated & (2) going to sweep their district. They've already proven they're better than the rest of their district because they've beaten everyone else & will complete the sweep next week at Nicholas.

I'm sure they'd be the decided underdog against Beechwood, but so was LCA last year & they nearly pulled off the victory. The regional will be tough, but I think the Rams are up to the challenge.

A very impressive performance from the defense and special teams. The Rams Team defense held Painstville to 48 yds. offense in the first half and the Tigers didn't pick up a first down until 4.31 in the 2nd qtr.

John Scott Carver did a great job on punt returns once again and Bobby McKee continues to show his abilities on kickoff returns.

Congrats to the Rams on the Victory!!!!

The Rams defense was physical from the first whistle to the last and their speed on defense last night was impressive. Their LB's played extremely well on pass coverage.

Anybody has a shot but Beechwood is too good for anyone this season.

They are good, but I went and watched them in person......it's all about match-ups. Look what LCA almost pulled off last year when Beechwood was "too good" to be beat.

Back to our defense. We had a kid bust his shoulder pads and had to get a new set after blowing up a play at the line of scrimmage in the second qtr. There were some beastly hits in the game. Keep playing like Pit Bulls and TCB!!!! Defense wins Championships and I love our defense!

:thumb: I certainly hope that we get that chance to discuss it.

I will say this and just leave it at that for now.....I believe that ANY good team goes into ANY and EVERY game believing they can win. Should they go in thinking they will lose.....well, that is exactly what they will do. ;)

First congrats to the Rams on another win ,Oldrambler words of wisdom.:thumb:

Football games are not won or lost on paper.:Go Rams

I think he meant we hope to get to discuss it further on a thread, IF we make it to Papa John's.

Raceland is a great ball team, best team I have ever seen them have. A trip to Louisville would be special for them since a team like this only comes around once in 10/15 years. I'm not taking anything away from them at all, but give other teams credit as well. Raceland is solid but not to the level of Beechwood. Prestonsburg for example is a great team, very solid. Beechwood manhandled them the other night, and they beat a down yet much better than Raceland Covington Catholic team. I'm rooting for the local teams to go far in the playoffs, and I want to see Raceland do well but we are kidding ourselves if we compare Raceland to Beechwood.

1. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

2. I have seen both Beechwood and Raceland play. Raceland is they only 1A school I have seen with an Offensive and Defensive line that matches up with BW. Our running backs are just as good and our linebackers are pretty much even. Just because Beechwood hails from mighty NKY and has previous titles is no reason to crown them after 8 weeks. Heck, both teams may not be there anyway, that's why they play the games. Remember the Giants and how they could never beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl? Who won?

3. This is a post game thread about Paintsville/Raceland. Period.

Another good win for the Rams. Offense started out a little slow but eventually picked it up. I thought the D played outstanding and special teams turned in a nice performance as well. Congrats! 7-0!!!

:thumb: If anyone knows the tradition at Beechwood it should be Raceland. We have been beaten by them so much we are like Budweiser...... "Beechwood Aged" :D.

That is exactly what I meant :thumb:, I hope that there is a thread on that game in the future bc that would mean that Raceland was in the State Title game. Right now, there is no sense in discussing something that "Might" be in the future. (Raceland/Beechwood game). I will discuss that when and if it happens.

Right now, Raceland's next game is at Nicholas Co., that is what we are focused on.;)
