I need honesty....

I know it's a long way down the line, but I have no vested interest in either team so I can ask:D:

Can Raceland beat Beechwood?

I wish that I could honestly answer that but the only honest answer that I can give is ......I don't know. I just hope that Raceland can make it that far. What I am trying to say I guess is that there is no way that anyone here is looking at that far ahead at this point.

I do like the way you are thinking though. :thumb:

But in this case......Absolutely NOT!

Raceland has to beat seven other teams before we can speculate on that, but I think they can beat anyone in 1A right now. Of course, anything can happen, but that is my feelings.

:thumb: I certainly hope that we get that chance to discuss it.

I will say this and just leave it at that for now.....I believe that ANY good team goes into ANY and EVERY game believing they can win. Should they go in thinking they will lose.....well, that is exactly what they will do. ;)

Well, I'd say Raceland has a better shot than most. Certainly ALOT better than anyone in their district.

So.....you stll missed it. :D :thumb:

Hey...3 points is probably as close as I'll ever come to picking an exact score!

Congratulations to the Rams and all their fans!

You have a very special season in the making, keep working hard. :thumb:

Can Raceland beat Beechwood?

From looking at Beechwood's schedule, they play a totally different level of competition and they have outscored their opponents by an average of 42-8. That is opponent's like Covington Catholic, Prestonsburg, and Holy Cross. They close out the season with Bellevue and Newport Central Catholic so it will be interesting to see how they do in those two games as well.

Raceland has done what they are supposed to do so far by blowing out weaker competition. They have been in games with two teams that could remotely compare to the best on Beechwood's schedule, Ashland and LCA. They got close wins in each one.

Raceland has a likely playoff road of Clinton County at home, the winner of Fairview-Campbellsville at home, either LCA at home or at Williamsburg, at Hazard, and then the state championship game playing Beechwood. While the 1st and 2nd round games should be easily won, the 3rd and 4th round games will be games that could likely go either way...so it's no guarantee they'll make it to Beechwood.

Should they make it to Beechwood, though, I think reality and history says that their chances of winning would be less than 50% as our northeastern Kentucky teams don't generally do well against northern Kentucky opponents for whatever reason. Maybe it's the air we breath around here or something. :) That being said, I think all of us football fans in northeastern Kentucky will be pulling for Raceland to pull off the upset, though.

I want to compliment the defense! I love the way they have picked up the intensity. I am starting to see glimpses of the 2006 defense that carried us to the Regional Championship game against NCC.

Well, I'd say Raceland has a better shot than most. Certainly ALOT better than anyone in their district.

That could be said for anyone in any district, Beechwood is more dominant than any team in any district.

Congrats to the Rams. We are really proud of you guys and the recognition Raceland is getting/earning.

Now at 7 – 0 in the season, the Rams have completed exactly one half of the journey leading to a state championship game.

That could be said for anyone in any district, Beechwood is more dominant than any team in any district.

You have an advantage of me there bugigly…I haven’t seen Beechwood play but am aware of their impressive victories. I have, however, seen the Rams up close and to say Beechwood would “dominate” them is quite a provocative statement.

This is a topic I truly hope we get to debate at the appropriate time.
