Raceland 51 Paintsville 12

Featured Replies

I really don't like the playoff talk. Raceland, as well as every other team, has three weeks before that happens. Raceland has three teams to worry about, one this week, before we can even think about the playoffs.

With a big district game on the menu this week, I think we will have our hands full talking about and preparing for this game. A lot can happen in three weeks, and until that is over, I really don't like fans, parents, or players thinking about the playoffs.

I hope the Raceland player realize that they are entitled to anything, if they want something, they have to go and take it. No one is going to give them anything. And, the first thing they have to go get is Nicholas County, after that, we will talk about the next thing on the shopping list, but not before.

Raceland is a great ball team, best team I have ever seen them have. A trip to Louisville would be special for them since a team like this only comes around once in 10/15 years. I'm not taking anything away from them at all, but give other teams credit as well. Raceland is solid but not to the level of Beechwood. Prestonsburg for example is a great team, very solid. Beechwood manhandled them the other night, and they beat a down yet much better than Raceland Covington Catholic team. I'm rooting for the local teams to go far in the playoffs, and I want to see Raceland do well but we are kidding ourselves if we compare Raceland to Beechwood.

Well, the rest of the civilized world might bow down and pay hommage to to that ridiculous remark and to your Beechwood shrine, but the Rams & their players / coaching staff won't. If that were the case then everyone should just forfeit the rest of the season and hand them the title.

As I said earlier, they present a mighty challenge, as does running the gaunlet of the first (3) rounds of the playoffs, but not an impossible one. As the saying goes, "To be the man, you have to beat the man", & right now they're the defending state champs so they're the man. However, if the Rams are fortunate enough to "walk the aisle" that leads to Louisville, then I'm sure the coaching staff will have a game plan that will give the Rams a shot to win. I'd rank their staff up with anyone's in the state from top to bottom.

Beechwood is a good team, but not invincible. As Arnold Schwarzenegger said in Predator, "If it bleeds, we can kill it."

GO RAMS!

This is a post game thread about Paintsville/Raceland. Period.

Sorry Sidelinedoc & Ram, I had to get my final words in on the Beechwood topic (LOL). Have to set these Fairview & other team's thread hackers straight on a few points. :D

:thumb:No problem, get it off you chest over the weekend, so we can get ready for Nicholas County.

Doesn't offend me at all, TCA. Playoff scenarios just kinda popped in there on us. It is nice to dream about it, though isn't it?

By the way TCA, your good buddy, Wildcat willy has yet to post. I hope he made it home safe from Ram Field last night. He or his commrades haven't posted on the Russell/SK thread either. I hope they are ok.

HE MIGHT STILL BE SHELL-SHOCKED OVER THE COMBINATION OF THE RUSSELL LOSS & THE RAM'S BIG WIN (LOL).

Oh where, oh where has my Wildcat Willey gone?

Oh where, oh where could he be?

He ate to many Ram burgers last night. It normally take 24 hours to come around.

He might be upset with the game's last possession (LOL). I don't think he was anticipating the "Victory" formation as the winning possession.
