Rookie of the Year

Featured Replies

Felix Jones has been really impressive so far.

He doesn't get enough carries to really be in consideration for Rookie of the Year though. I'd love to see him get a little more game action. I think he's averaging a little over 9 yards per carry this year. His numbers are outstanding.

Matt Ryan gets my vote.

Agree. Felix Jones would be having a better year if he wasn't behind Barber. Barber gets the ball everytime their in the redzone and every time Jones scores is when he breaks a run for over 50. IMO Ryan should be. He has already exceeded the expectations of what he was supposed to.

I'd say Ryan is in the lead right now.

Matty Ice

Forte

Slaton

I agree with all of that.

The toughest position in sport is NFL QB...I vote for Matt Ryan considering what he has done to this point at that position.

Matt Ryan is head and shoulders above the other rookies at this point of the season. The job he has done with the Falcons is phenomenal he has won 4 out of his first 6 starts which hasn't been done by a rookie qb since the 70's. I hated seeing Felix Jones get injured against the Cardinals his speed is just ridiculous and I expect big things for him in the future.

At this point, Matt Ryan is the obvious choice. The Falcons are way better than anyone expected. Matt Ryan is a big reason why and he's way better than expected at this point.

After that, I think Matt Forte and Chris Johnson are pretty close for second and third. I like to look at the impact they've had on their teams and both these guys have been integral pieces to their teams offense and overall success. Slaton has nice numbers, but the Texans aren't winning so that hurts his stock, IMO. Forte and Johnson are both the top weapons on their offense.

Steve Slaton and DeSean Jackson would round out my top 5.

Chris Johnson is the fastest running back i've watched in a long time.

Ryan then Jackson

I think by years end it will be Johnson, he's putting up some very nice numbers for a team with a limited passing attack.

Anyone still like Forte or Slaton over Johnson?

I agree. His numbers are outstanding, especially when you consider how much of a factor White is for their team.

Ryan is 19th in passing yards, 15th in TD's, 20th in completions. His passer rating is 18th out of the regular starters.

Johnson is 4th in rushing yards and 11th in TD's while White is 1st in TD's.
