Deal Or No Deal?

Featured Replies

Take the trade. Eli will fill in nicely for Romo, and then you'll have a QB decision to make on a weekly basis when Romo comes back.

Ronnie Brown is just as good, if not better, than Brandon Jacobs. I like Jacobs a lot, but Ronnie Brown is a stud this year and was a stud last year until he got hurt. With the new plays in Miami, Ronnie Brown is going to get the ball a lot, too.

And I'd recommend dropping Matt Bryant, as I think he's a kicker. Go ahead and drop him and pick up an RB with potential - somebody who could get an opportunity & tear things up, but just need the #1 RB to go down (for example, Jamaal Charles from KC or Dominic Rhodes from Indy).

I'd agree with all of that. Ward and Bradshaw hurt Jacobs value to the point where there is little difference in he and Brown...and if Brown is competely healthy, he's probably better for fantasy purposes. So, you're probably upgrading your RB and getting a good QB to fill a huge need.

I'd be tempted to drop Carson...or throw him in on the deal. You don't need him now. Eli's bye is done and he can hold the fort down until Romo returns. JMO Plus, you're going to have to drop somebody since the deal is 2-for-1.

I wouldn't do it just yet. Official word is coming shortly as to what his future holds.

In the meantime, I'd look to shop him for another WR. You should realize that you won't get a whole lot, but somebody out there may be willing to give up a middle of the road WR. There are a few out there who have been injured for the majority of the season who could still make an impact. Maybe Bryant Johnson? Or one of the Saints' WR, since all of them are out.

If not, then you'll get the final word (from the NY Mets doctor who is evaluating Palmer) and you'll be able to drop him without any worries.

Not sure I'd simply go for Brown over Jacobs fantasy wise, but with Eli in the package, after looking at the rest of your team, I'd take the deal.

I'd also start Muhammad or Santonio Holmes over Stokely too.

BTW, Gonzalez could become much more valuable if he's traded by tomorrow's deadline.

You just wanted to brag about tricking your friend didn't you.

A guy in my league offered me Eli Manning AND Ronnie Brown for Brandon Jacobs

If you can look in the mirror after taking advantage of this guy, go for it.

This guy has to be a Giant fan. Brown is on fire and Eli has finally figured the NFL out.
