I didn't consider Hardin County as Western Kentucky. It's like the age old question: Which came first the chicken..... What is or is not considered "West Kentucky"

True. What about everything from Logan, Ohio, Butler, and Hancock counties west? That would remove the Warren County, Green County, and Monroe County Schools?

It seems pretty simple to me, for sake of having a competitive/quality poll teams from south central Ky need to be included, teams like Glasgow, Metcalfe, Green, Monroe and all teams in Warren County. IMO the teams of south central Ky belong in the western Ky poll more than any other poll, I think most fans of teams in this region follow the teams west of us more than we follow those east of us. Maybe we should call the poll West/South Central Ky Poll, that might help some to sleep better at night...

We have always included the Warren Co schools in this poll.

OK, let's pretty much torpedo the debate about which schools should be included. When we started this poll, it was the Region 1 poll when it was still just four classes. Region 1 is usually generally accepted as Western Kentucky, even though there are a few exceptions. I'd say if you're in Region 1 (and in the case of 6A, let's call that traditional Region 1, being Districts 1 & 2), you're in. We should make an exception for 2A District 3, which includes teams traditionally in this poll such as Glasgow, Monroe, etc.

I can't believe I'm voting a small-school poll with Mayfield in the lower half of it and without Paducah Tilghman in it ... my, how the mighty have fallen.
