Yea but unlike in the past where we knew our team wasn't the best, this year they were the best team in the NL and just didn't show up or play with any pride in the playoffs

He doesn't get on base and he may have the worst arm of any outfielder in the major leagues. Why it took Torre half the year to figure out that he can't play is beyond me ...

He only stole 3 bases since he returned from his knee injury. He went down on June 29th. That means, on June 29th, he had 37 SB and was hitting .277 with an On-base % of .327. Maybe I'm easy, but that seems "decent" to me. I agree that his arm is horrendous.

Interestingly (at least to me), he has more assists than errors. 34 to 30, respectively. I'd call these numbers a lot better than "decent".

Pierre is a leadoff hitter with an OBP less than the league average ... that isn't good at all. Plus, he offsets it with absolutely no pop at all. He's a crappy player.

Dusty has gotten to you. You don't have to hit your fastest player leadoff. He's in the lineup every day and he changes the game when he's on the basepath because of his speed. He's on base over 30% of the time. I think he makes too much money, but that doesn't affect his ability to play baseball.

Pierre doesn't get on base nearly enough to offset his other liabilities ... he is a crappy player and has no business starting in anyone's outfield.
