If the parents have that much influence they must be waving $ or threatening to hold out on the $.From what I have seen with this program in the last 6 or 7 years it appears to be a long standing trend that parents are infecting the teams like a cancer with meddling.My sons have played for one of the other teams in the district for the last few years and I have seen BC have a few really good players but not any good continuity.They never will have it until the PARENTS GET ON THE WAGON OR GET LOST! Western Hills in Frankfort suffered the same fate for years until the parents finally stayed out of the way and supported their coach.They have now built a team that believes it will win when it steps on the field.Your school can do the same if you let football coaches coach and parents be parents,and dont mix the two!

I have very little knowledge as to what is going on at Bourbon County. But the one thing I know for sure, Dudley Hilton is gone. So get over the Hilton days.

 

What needs to occur at Bourbon is the Adminstration, Players, Coaches, Parents, and fans need to decide if the want a program or if they want a team. If you want a football program that doesn't occur in one year. It takes several years. You have to make up grades to the program to attrack kids to come and play.

 

But most important everyone has to buy into what the HEAD COACH is doing. If you don't have that backing, then you have nothing.

 

These are statements that have to be the backbone of any program and without them you will always get a temporary fix at best.

I like both schools and fair is fair!

Hopefully Massie will not the kids play, there back on the team but does not mean they get to play. Imo, they played better against Nicholas without them.
