I am not positive; however, Ryle visits Beechwood on Oct. 16. I would guess that the winner of that game will play Highlands. Opinions?

Highlands has played the tough part of their schedule. Even if they lose a game, they would be tied with the Camels. H2H tiebreaker, they make the playoffs, deservedly so.

Where is the Beechwood vs. Ryle game?

 

At Beechwood in 2 weeks. Should be a good game.

Ryle is now 6-0 they beat conner 22-15 last night. Also can someone explain this east/west thing to me. I am unclear on how this thing works.

There are 16 teams in the NKY Freshman League. They were split into East and West. This leaves each team with 7 "District games". There is then 2 weeks of none district play. It looks like most teams picked up rivals from the opposing district. Week 10 is when the Championship is played. I think One plays One, Two plays Two and so forth. But this is the first year in awhile that some of the smaller schools are playing with the 5a and 6a teams (Beechwood, NCC, Holy Cross, Newport, Lloyd), so I do not know if this format is going to be what happens for Week 10.

It is my understanding that they just take the top two teams in each division to play in a one game playoff.

C'mon, Skunk, that is an uncalled for opinion. Any reasonable Highlands supporter (or any other reasonable BGP poster for that matter) would agree this comment crossed the line.

It seems that Beechwood is winning by big margins and is undefeated. Perhaps, they are the favorite. I would guess that the Dixie/Highlands winner will face the Beechwood/Ryle winner in the frosh championship. Good luck to all teams as they work to build success in the future for varsity teams.
