Bellevue 56 Brossart 0

Featured Replies

Final

Mustangs out-manned, over-powered by Black and Gold Tigers Saturday night at Newport Stadium.

21-0 1st Quarter as Ricky Buckler scores three TDs

42-0 by halftime as bad goes to worse for Stangs

Second half a nice competitive 24 minutes of football as Bellevue played their backups liberally.

Final 56-0

Mustang is right. Brossart was overmatched from the first whistle. They still have a long way to go. Glad to see the Tigers win again, and especially come out without any injuries. :thumb:

You've got to admire these kids from Brossart - they come out ever week and play their hearts out. One day in the future it will hopefully pay off for the program and these kids now and past years can say that they were the foundation to the program.

Congrats to Bellevue on the win. Brossart has more than a long way to go. The best of luck to both the rest of the way.

After watching Brossart play against Bellevue the last two years, I would almost have to say they more competitive last year with the Olliers.

I also dont get why Brossart coaches make their kids run sprints after getting beat like that to a better team. Were they punishing their players for losing? I also heard that Coach Rienhart (sp?) did not shake the Bellevue's coaches hand? Anyone know anything about this? I don't think the Tigers ran the score up.

There is nothing wrong with kids running sprints after a loss maybe the Coaches are trying to bring some discipline to the program. As for Bellevue not running up the score what was they onside kicking for when the score was already 21-0:thumb::thumb:

Hats off to the Brossart kids. Never stopped trying. Not so sure I agree with the coach running the players after the game. Does anyone know is that punishment or what is the reason for running?

I agree with you 100%. As for the Tigers great game. Keep it up and dont stop boys.

Not sure it was supposed to be an onside kick or not. Bellevue has been inconsistant in that area. Even if it was, 21-0 in the first half is still legit. Now if it was running clock in the second half, I would have a problem with it.

There has to be a line with dicipline though. When a team basically knows there are walking away with a loss, even though for the most part Brossart played well, to have to run sprints that's just a good way to run players off IMO. Bellevue played well, with Bracken this week they should have plenty of time to prepare the Devils that wear green. Good Luck Bellevue, bring the paddle home boys!!! :dancingpa

I would have to agree with you poet! I just think it was a terrible mistake to hire a middle school coach for a varsity job. The team would be better with Coach Ollier. My neighbor that is on the team said that Brossarts head coach in fact did not shake hands...that's a terrible message to send to your kids.

I was in leaving this game and saw Brossart running sprints:rolleyes: Why would the coaches do this. Even though the team was out manned they did play as well as they could.....that just adds to the embarrassment of losing by 56. The coaching staff may want to consider changing this policy
