2A Glasgow Scotties are a good team that currently stands at 0-5. A very physical team that has two big backs. They have been beaten by 5A Allen County-Scottsville(top ten in 5A), 2A Caldwell County (solid squad), 5A Barren County (rivalry game), 4A Larue County (young up and coming team, lost in 2 ot's), 2A Green County (currently #3 in 2A). They play Russellville, Monroe County, Metcalfe County, Franklin-Simpson, and Campbellsville in their remaining regular season schedule. I am going to say they end up 3-7 regular season.

I don't really think this is anything to brag about. I wouldn't hang my hat on having the best winless team.

Ok, on the subject of Lewis, NO they should not have beaten Fairview. I wasn't at the game, but I've seen both teams play. NO way SHOULD the Lions have beaten the Eagles. Anything can happen but it didn't. As for Powell, they seem to be better than usual, and as for the West Carter game, Lewis had plenty of chances, and could have won the game. I think West should have been able to put it away earlier, but they didn't. I would love to see Lewis have a win, but they don't belong in this discussion. Henry Clay, Lawrence, and some of the other teams mentioned are better. Lewis has improved, but it would have been a upset if they had beaten any of the teams on their schedule so far. This wasn't an anti-Lewis comment, it was just stating the facts.

Oxymorone. I guess it is, but a team could have a very hard schedule and benefit from it, or be young and need some early games to get some much needed experience, or just have some early injuries to recoup from. I can see a 0-4 team coming on strong for the remainder of the season.

Bardstown, for example. :thumb:

Would it have been an upset if they beat Mason?:jump:

Fleming is 0-5. Fleming will decide the final score when they play.

I have to disagree. Those seniors from LC are concentrated on going out strong and winning 3 of their last 5 is a possibility. Fleming, East Carter, Bracken, and maybe even Greenup are all teams that Lewis can hang with, but will they do it? I guess we'll see. As it goes for the Fleming game, it's the Lions homecoming, they will be fired up and ready to play, and when I checked, Fleming just got beat up in the game vs. Powell, Lewis actually hung with them. Fleming will not name the score in this one.:ylsuper: But I will agree that they are not one of the best winnless teams, I just wanted to point out that they shouldn't be winnless.

Fleming has had injury problems throughout the year. Both starting runningbacks, a juniorr and a senior out for the season, one with knee surgery and other with multiple concussions I believe. Fleming had 9 starters out for the game against Powell. They are now beginning to get their team healthy. They were playing good football against Harrison, Rowan, and East Carter (Grid) at the beginning of the year.

Hmm, sure sounds like an anti-lewis comment. They were simply stating that Lewis is better than their record. There are a few of these boys that are just as athletic, just as strong and have just as much HEART as any player from Henry Clay, Lawrence or some of the other teams mentioned. No way would the West game have been an upset. I dont think its a fact that Lewis doesnt belong in this discussion, or any discussion. I did not read a statement on Lewis being better than some of these GREAT football schools, just a little better than their own record.

Thank you, IROC.
