October 17, 200817 yr Looks like HB does. I don't understand why it should be an issue for a guest to cancel on someone so irrelevant as Letterman. The most important thing Letterman has done since leaving NBC was to do backing vocals on Warren Zevon's "Hit Somebody (The Hockey Song)."
October 17, 200817 yr I agree with Jim Shue........David Letterman, as I knew him, died when he moved up an hour and to CBS. I have met David Letterman and I have viewed the taping of his show in New York City. I think the truth of the matter is that John McCain cancelled Letterman's show for appearance purposes. Katie Couric is a news reporter and the scheduled interview with her was not out of line with trying to solve the national financial crisis at the time. Appearing on Letterman's show during that time could have been seen as frivilous and a waste of valuable time. This is much ado about absolutely nothing.

I didn't like him that much on SC and once he left that venue...he's not funny and there's just something about him that annoys and irritates me. I absolutely hate when he comes on Sunday Night Football (or whatever its called). That has to be the lamest football highlight/analysis show ever.
