Reports have Ballou of Adair going to Morehead State. Anyone confirm? Ballou is a top-notch young man.

I hope that video of the Zollo kid is not what his true ability is. It was nothing impressive. Yes he was big, but he looked like any other guy to me. Surprised that he is already a commit, besides his size I have no idea why he would be that big a deal based on that video alone.

The best defensive post may be the kid at Hazard who is about 6'5 or 6'6 and blocks every shot. I can't remember his name, but he is long and springy.

 

GRC has multiple sophomore posts who will be mentioned as some of the "best in the state" before their careers are over. Zollo is the one everyone is talking about but Rogers started all last year and got better and better, and Purvis may be the kid with the biggest upside.

I wouldn't really put Pittman of Holmes in this discussion. He is 6'6 but is more of a guard who prefers to play outside. Defensively he usually guards the other team's big man, but offensively he is more of a perimeter player who very rarely plays with his back to the rim because of his slashing ability to get past a slower big man trying to guard him.

Watched Elliott beat East four times last year including the district and regional championships. Made a lot of notes, but didn't have this one on the Top 10 list. In reality don't remember either one being dominating factors in those games. Steady factors maybe, one outplaying the other--NOT. You must have been watching some different games than the ones I saw.

I agree Elliott beat East all four times last year, but i was in attendance for all four games and you could probably ask all the people in attendance who played better. My guess would be they would say Colt Barnhill. The first game he didnt play anywhere to his potential, but knipp didnt hardly even play in that game due to foul trouble and fouling out in the 3rd quarter. The second and district finals, Colt had a double double both nights where Timmy was lucky to reach double figures. In the regional finals, Colt was either the leading scorer or the second leading scorer in the game. I dont see where you can justify Timmy being a better post player than Colt. Colt Barnhill might be the true definition of a post player
