Metallica - Death Magnetic

Featured Replies

I can't guarantee you will like it alot from your first Listen...It took me a couple of listens...The lyrics are more about Death/Dying young/Layne Staley...

Remember I am Old school...And All of My Old School Friends love it...:ylsuper:

Also Bob Rock had nothing to do with this album...King Rick Rubin made this one happen...

Took me a couple as well... Now I listen to it and I'm not sure why. I think it's just a great, great album.

It is good that Bob Rock had nothing to do with it. It seemed to me he was more interested in being the bassist for the band, at least in the studio.

Rubin is one heck of a producer.

Anyone planning on making the trip to Columbus for their show? I think I may make my way up 71.

I found myself wathcing Metal Mania last night, and I caught the "For whom the bell tolls", video, which I proceeded to rewind and watch three times. I thought it would be nice to offer my brother the opportunity to watch the concert with me as a Christmas present. He then said, could you get three tickets (one for his girlfriend), and I said I would, but I don't want to be the third wheel.

Ah Dude you need to go...:thumb:

I thought it was on Saturday night, but I found out it's on Sunday, looks like I won't be going, no way I go to work the next day if I attend that one.

Got the CD last night. It is very very good. They finally made a METAL album.

My 2 favorites are: Cyanide and My Apocalyspe.

Bang your head! Metal Health'll drive you mad

Band your head! Metal Health'll drive you mad

One must wonder if Burton would still be able to play these days, he probably would have herniated every disc in his neck while banging his head. RIP Cliff.

The concert was great... Played 5 songs off the new album and tons of old stuff.. The stage show with all the coffins and the multi-colored pyros was pretty wild.. I'll probably catch the show again next Monday night in St. Louis...
