Vince Young's mental status?

Never said he wasn't. But he's a human being not equipped to be a successful NFL quarterback.
He's a poor passer on top of all of all of that. No offense to him, 5Wide, or his momma, but he's not a very good passer. I think the Titans are a much better football team with Collins under center.

No offense taken...I want the Titans to win. I don't care if Vince Young, Kerry Collins, Chris Simms or anyone else is taking snaps when they do it.

I've been a VY supporter (after I got over the initial frustration of them passing on Leinart). I felt like he had the potential to develop into a good enough passer (combined with his running ability) to lead this team effectively because of their make-up...heavy rushing offense (the anti-Eagles, if you will) and tough, physical defense. They're not asking the QB to win games, but just pull their own weight. I was a big fan of Heimerdinger in his first go round with the Titans and hoped that he could push the right buttons with Vince. Also, it was easier to be patient with Vince when he and the team were growing and progressing together.

But, like I said earlier, the rest of the team has progressed and Titans have the roster to be a legitimate Super Bowl contender if they get something from the QB and the passing game. You can't waste that opportunity waiting on your QB to quit pouting. Kerry Collins has lead a team to the big game before and considering the supporting cast he has in Tennessee right now and what they ask of their QB's, he could do it again.

I've got confidence that Collins can guide this team to the playoffs if necessary. To be honest, I'm excited to see what this team can do offensively with him under center because he opens the field up. Considering VY's play lately, it's probable that they'll be better. So, I'm not frustrated that Vince won't be playing....I'm frustrated that he hasn't progressed more and that he acts like a baby. If Collins plays well and the Titans keep winning with him, I think it would be a mistake to insert Young back into the lineup.

If I were a fan of someone else, I think I'd rather play the Titans with Vince under center...

I like the way nobody mentions Tennessee benefitting from Brady's injury. All the talk is about the Steelers and how the Colts, Jags and Chargers struggled. Under the radar...like the 2007 Giants...I like it.

A police report obtained by the Nashville City Paper reveals more information about the circumstances that led to the Titans asking the police to help them track down Vince Young — and it suggests that the team feared Young would kill himself.

The report says Titans Coach Jeff Fisher told police that Young’s therapist said Young “mentioned suicide several times.”

According to the report, Titans director of security Steve Berk told police he had “a player over at the stadium going off.” The officer who wrote the report says she was later told by another officer “that it was Vince Young and that he was driving a black Mercedes and armed with a gun.”

Fisher reportedly told police he had gotten a call from Young’s therapist and “she was worried about him” as a result of “His mood, his emotions, he is injured, he wants to quit, and he mentioned suicide several times.”

Wow....A lot more deeper than I expected.

Is he suicidal? Why else would you call the police?

I suppose that answers my question. I hope that the guy gets some help.

I don't feel sorry for Vince at all.

The guy needs a good slap in the mouth to make him realize how great he has it.

He's making millions playing a game while the majority of us are struggling to keep our heads above water.

Vince, put your money in the bank, play out the rest of your contract, retire and move to a nice sunny beach somewhere.

This just infuriates me that anyone would make a thread about something so irrelevant. Vince is an NFL player that can't take all the criticism he gets every week... nothing new.
