September 8, 200818 yr but the Red Sox are only 1.5 games behind Tampa as they start a 3 game series with the Rays tonight. I fully expect the Sox to win the division, and the Rays the Wild Card obviously. On a side note the Blue Jays have surpassed the Yankees in the standings, pushing the Yankees to 4th in the East....
September 8, 200818 yr I noticed this over the weekend, I'm sure Tampa can beat Los Angeles/Anaheim of California Angels. But if they have to go on the road as a wild card out West, they could be done in the 1st round. Wouldn't take away from a great season, but I can imagine that would be a huge letdown after being in 1st virtually all year.
September 8, 200818 yr Author ^I think MLB is praying the Rays end up as the Wild Card....I can't imagine them wanting anything but Angels/Red Sox in the ALCS.

September 8, 200818 yr Rays are going down, but they will make the playoffs and go out in the 1st Round.
September 8, 200818 yr Yankee haters enjoy it this season, you deserve to (it has been so long. LOL). This is a rare occurance that you may not see again for a long time. GO Yankees!!!!!!

They've really done well to weather the injuries and the fact that they gave up on their season over a month ago when they traded Manny for Jason Bay. :thumb:

This is a rare occurance that you may not see again for a long time. GO Yankees!!!!!! Over $215 Million for 4th place--Ouch! Looks like Joe Torre wasn't the problem for the Yanks after all, he's got his Dodgers in first place. Maybe Hank should look in the mirror if he wants to really see what is the matter with the Yankees. :thumb:

While you can't just replace Manny's numbers, he had to go and they did as good of a job as possible to get something of value in return.

I was being sarcastic, go back and read some of the posts in this thread about the Red Sox trade of Ramirez. http://www.bluegrasspreps.com/showthread.php?t=156936
