September 1, 200818 yr And he can sing BOMB BOMB BOMB...BOMB BOMB IRAN in perfect tune. Obama was right on Iraq. McCain was wrong on the surge, he actually thought they said splerge. Ummm, the surge has worked. Have you been paying attention? Obama was not privy to the same information on Iraq, you're simply buying into the typical Dem talking points.
September 1, 200818 yr Ummm, the surge has worked. Have you been paying attention? Obama was not privy to the same information on Iraq, you're simply buying into the typical Dem talking points. Iraq can not and will not be a military victory, it has to be resolved politically by the Iraqi government. That was the purpose of the surge, to calm the potential civil war and give the government time to work. To this day, that work is incomplete and far from resolution.

And actually, we are doing quite well in Iraq, I know the Dems don't want you to believe that since it takes away a talking point from them.
September 1, 200818 yr So you're honestly telling me the surge hasn't worked? And actually, we are doing quite well in Iraq, I know the Dems don't want you to believe that since it takes away a talking point from them. We should be doing quite well. The whole argument is, should we be there in the first place? Hasn't the Bush Administration already stated that we need an exit strategy?
September 1, 200818 yr We should be doing quite well. The whole argument is, should we be there in the first place? Hasn't the Bush Administration already stated that we need an exit strategy? Did I say we didn't need an exit strategy? Again, we went in based on Intel we had at the time. Are we going to rehash this yet again?
September 1, 200818 yr Honestly, for me, as a vocal opponent to going into Iraq in the first place, there's a lot of ground to be made up by McCain if he wants my vote. First, he supported the war. On the other side of the aisle, while in no position to vote against it, Obama opposed it and Biden regrets his decision. If we want to only base our vote on what candidates have done in the past, and not on what they'll do in the future, I have more confidence that the Obama/McCain ticket will not invade, oh, Iran for instance. McCain and Palin...."bring it on", is what I fear, based on history, of course.
September 1, 200818 yr Did I say we didn't need an exit strategy? Again, we went in based on Intel we had at the time. Are we going to rehash this yet again? Um...what is McCain's exit strategy?
September 1, 200818 yr Um...what is McCain's exit strategy?Um... What is Obama's? Turn tail and run? I'm sure you will hear about McCain's in the coming months.
September 1, 200818 yr Um... What is Obama's? Turn tail and run? I'm sure you will hear about McCain's in the coming months. I thought McCain wanted to stay in Iraq? Or has he flip flopped on this issue like he has many others? About Obama, I believe he has stated that he would talk to the people in charge on the ground in Iraq to figure out the best way out.

You can't, with a straight face anyway, seriously talk about flip flops when Obama has done nothing but.
September 1, 200818 yr Until the time is right, you don't just pull out. You can't, with a straight face anyway, seriously talk about flip flops when Obama has done nothing but. I'm talking about John McCain and his stance on Iraq. He was saying we should stay in Iraq for "100 years".... Is he now planning on how to get out?
